The BBC just acquired the rights for feature quality CGI animated shows: <\/span>Grizzy and The Lemmings World Tour<\/i><\/strong> and <\/span>The Weasy Family<\/strong>. <\/span><\/i>The deal will see both shows air in the UK across the public service broadcaster\u2019s linear (BBC, CBeebies) and digital platforms (BBC iplayer) in 2023\/2024 and beyond.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The deal comprises seasons 3 and 4 of the much-loved global hit show <\/span>Grizzy and The Lemmings, <\/span><\/i>titled <\/span>Grizzy and The Lemmings World Tour.<\/i><\/b>\u00a0 <\/b>Each season contains 78 x 7 minute episodes of the non dialogue slapstick comedy. Season 3 is produced and season 4 is currently in production (delivery in 2024).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The show is ideal for all age groups, but primarily targets kids aged 3+ and their families.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is based on a grizzly bear \u2018Grizzy\u2019 having to deal with a tribe of eponymous lemmings, with hilarious outcomes! In the new seasons they accidentally take off on a world tour.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grizzy and The Lemmings<\/span><\/i> first aired in 2016 and has gone on to become an award-winning family favourite around the world. It featured in Netflix\u2019s top ten shows in more than 60 territories, and amasses one billion YouTube views each year.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The show won Best Animated Series at the Kidscreen Awards (2018) and was nominated for an Emmy in 2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Global broadcast partners include: France Television, Warner Media, Netflix, Germany\u2019s Super RTL, Mango TV in China, Wildbrain and Canada\u2019s TeleQuebec.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Weasy Family<\/i><\/b> is Hari\u2019s brand new slapstick non-dialogue animated series, currently in production. Comprising 78 x 7 minute episodes, it centres around a Wisconsin barn in the middle of the cornfields, Weasy, an irresponsible Weasel with the IQ of a teenager, raises the twin ducklings he adopted after accidentally incubating their egg.<\/span><\/p>\n

The show is unique in combining comedy action with emotional family moments and parent\/child relationships. It\u2019s the first ever benevolent slapstick cartoon, where no one gets hurt even when situations get out of hand!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
